Unitarian Universalists (UUs) are exploring how to visibly show our support for the Movement for Black Lives—through community partnerships, education, social justice actions, and more. In February 2015, Leslie Mac, founder of Ferguson Response Network and a member of the Organizing Collective of Black Lives UU, urged UU congregations to make our support visible by displaying Black Lives Matter banners. We encourage congregations to further their commitment and suggest tips for engaging with negative responses.
