Rev. Chris Long (he/him/his) is currently the Assistant Minister at Community Church of New York. A graduate of Starr King School for the Ministry (Berkeley, CA) and ordained by the First Unitarian Church of Oakland (CA - both in 2009), he aspires to live into and embody his Calling of Educating and Countering Oppressions (Starr King's educational philosophy) through Ancestral Wisdom, Challenge and Love while growing more of the Beloved Community.

These famous words of the prophet Jalal al-Din Rumi, – may he be forever remembered, often ring throughout our Unitarian Universalist congregations on any given Sunday morning welcoming the stranger and providing comfort to those present.
