Resources for Engagement
The Unitarian Universalist Association's (UUA) International Office – including the UU Holdeen India Program and our UU Office at the United Nations – provides information, resources, connections, and opportunities to support Unitarian Universalists in the United States and Canada as they explore our global faith and create new chapters in the Global U/U Story. Here are some resources and opportunities to engage...
The Czech Unitarians, The Unitarian College in the United Kingdom, and The Unitarian Universalist Association, are hosting a gathering of leaders and dreamers. We will come together as U/U leaders in Prague, Czech Republic October 26-29, 2023, to share about our lives in a post pandemic landscape and discuss what is needed in the future. All are welcome to join virtually for worship and keynote learning.
COVID-19 Response
The UU Holdeen India Program’s partners have been working around the clock during the COVID-19 crisis. India introduced the world’s largest national lockdown and for nearly two months the economy was at a standstill – hundreds of millions out of work. Surging infections have forced people to line up for hours outside hospitals in the searing heat, waiting for medicine, oxygen, and hospital beds that may not exist. The raging virus has not spared anyone – small towns, villages, and big cities have all been hit hard. The road to recovery will be long and challenging. HIP's partners across the country are working closely with the authorities to ensure relief reaches all those in need. Please consider making a donation to support HIP’s partner organizations in their lifesaving work.

UN Sunday Resource
The UU@UN's annual Intergenerational Spring Seminar offers participants the chance to learn about an issue of global concern and how individuals, congregations, and communities can make a difference. The 2023 Seminar centered on the theme of "Demilitarization & Abolition: Resist Policing and Empire. 2023-24 UN Sunday Worship Packet is available.
Human Rights Discussion Guide
The UUA’s International Office has created a resource for congregations on cross-cultural engagement and the role of identity in organizing for justice. The resource includes stories from our work with justice partners in India, provoking congregants to reflect on themes like identity and privilege, trust, cultural difference, relationship-building, and human rights. This guide for a 75-minute online discussion would work well as an Adult Religious Education program or even an opportunity for a congregation’s Religious Education program to partner with their Social Justice leaders to hold a reflective and inspiring online discussion.
Congregational Engagement
Our online map tracks the congregations that are engaged with global Unitarian/Universalism in action. Take a look at the Internationally Engaged Congregations map - you'll be inspired by the connections being built and the initiatives moving forward. After reading what other groups have done, start planning how your congregation can get involved. We'd love to work with you! Reach out to our office at international@uua.org if you would like to coordinate a special program or visit.
Act Globally
Act Globally is a seasonal newsletter from the UUA's International Office that includes announcements and news for engaging with global Unitarian/Universalism in action.
